Walking for what?

A jangling noise persists as I hurriedly run down the never ending stairs. Living on the third floor isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. As I continue down the stairs that have plagued me for the last…

Embracing Uncertainty Is The Key To Unlocking Your Potential

No worthwhile aspiration can be accomplished without the sense of being uncomfortable.

It’s official. We live in uncertain times.

Just go outside and pick up today’s paper and the headlines will be screaming with news that let’s us know we are living uncertain time. Economic instability, global pandemic on the loose, politics, and shifting tectonic plates.

It’s safe to say that 2020 has not been kind to anyone, but that isn’t to say that it’s been all too bad. Sure, the media might persuade many people but that is far from the truth. 2020 has a small benefit called “uncertainty”. Yet, many consider this something that should be avoided at all costs.

There’s no doubt that uncertainty can be uncomfortable. We’re all human. And humans are wired to want to control their environments. That’s just how the brain works. Whenever the brain detects something that is out of its reach it panics and does whatever it can to avoid it.

But people should take a moment to sit down and understand that this is the perfect time to get over their fears of the unknown. The fear of jumping over that bridge, that gap in between, that small step that you hold back is what’s stopping you from becoming who you envision to be one day.

I myself have gone through many times of uncertainty. I’ve been uncertain my entire life. We’ve all been down this road. There’s no question about it. The question is however, are you willing to go through it again? The uncertain times? To improve more, and face your fears?

As I explain more about uncertainty in vidid detail, below you will find reasons as to why uncertainty is the key to your locked door, which holds your long term potential.

The root of our lives is about resisting uncertainty, reaching for a safety zone, but uncertainty is a constant in life and leadership. And when uncertainty leads to doubt and fear, we find ourselves stuck.

And uncertainty is real. It’s not an imaginative story for kids, or a show about adults, or a conspiracy theory. We’re talking about real life here. It’s time to put your big pants on and go through with it.

The faster you accept that you can’t control anything regarding uncertainty, the faster you do yourself a favour of moving on with your life and becoming the man or woman you aspire to be.

The idea that obstacles are stopping you on your way to success is a good thing. But the idea of quadruple obstacles being throw your way is even better! Think of it this way: would you want to have less problems and solve them quickly? Or, have many problems and defeat them all to improve? The more the merrier as they say. The more you encounter, the more you improve.

It’s a slow process but quite an affective one. Day by day, results are gonna be shown and you’re gonna improve as uncertainty rises, and you’re gonna be able to adjust to the many uncertain obstacles that are thrown at your direction.

Working in uncertain times forces you to play it smart. It’s an option. To either rush it and mess it up, or play it like a chess game. To think strategically and work smart. Otherwise what’s the point? Uncertainty requires to be patient and think outside of the box in many cases.

As you progress through these uncertain times you start to develop this habit of taking things slow. Like taking small baby steps. Given that we live in a pandemic with many lockdowns we’re forced to work smart just so we can survive. This is your time to shine! Your time to prove yourself you’re more than just what you are. Work hard and smart in order to play hard.

We all hate change. It’s one of those things many of us are scared to speak about, or even mention in some cases. But here’s the thing: as much as I hate to say it, this is required. Especially in uncertain times where we’re forced to adapt to new environments. Meet new people, find a new jobs, and take risks.

Even though you’re forced to change due to uncertainty, you start to adapt to that new “you”. That new “you” where you don’t recognise yourself, but feel good about it.

Change is a mindset that you have to follow if you want to improve. It’s like a very strong opponent in an arena. The opponent will bring down to your knees. So what do you? Get back up, or stay down with defeat and shame?

There’s no greater feeling knowing that what scared you most in your entire life was nothing but a simple illusion. That your worst enemy became your best friend in the end.

All these years your mind was manipulating you, making you think that it was bad, when in reality, it was nothing but a simple vision that your brain created. There’s nothing to be afraid of in life. Only yourself. Always be uncomfortable to improve, and be fearless and relentless when pursuing what matters the most to you. Never stop believing and never, ever let people take that away from you!

I hope this helped you realize why uncertainty is good, and why it holds the key to your kingdom of a castle.

Be strong and your time will come.
