The Pyramid of Hate

Hate and intolerance can take the form of racism, ableism, antisemitism, or general xenophobia, and discrimination based on age, sex, body type, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status.

As a disability inclusion advocate, the form of hate and intolerance that I want to fight is ableism. I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their abilities. As an advocate, my role is to raise awareness about the issues faced by people with disabilities and to work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society.

One of the ways that ableism escalates up the Pyramid of Hate is through discrimination. People with disabilities often face barriers in accessing employment, education, and other opportunities. This discrimination can lead to prejudice and negative attitudes towards people with disabilities.

I see myself intervening at all levels of the Pyramid of Hate, from raising awareness about the issues faced by people with disabilities to working towards policy changes that will make our society more inclusive. The stakes for fighting ableism are high, as it affects millions of people worldwide. It is critical that we intervene now to create a more equitable and just society for all.
