Descriptive Statistics in Python

A descriptive statistic summarizes the central tendency (mean, median, mode), spread of the data (range, standard deviation, and variance), the shape of the data, and frequency of the data. The purpose is to find an insight of the characteristics data in a meaningful way without inferring anything about them.

This following function calculates descriptive statistics for numerical data :

And this following function is descriptive statistics for categorical data (e.g. strings) :

Researchpy returns less overall information compared to the pandas method, but it does return more in-depth information regarding the mean.
